I’m not a big fan of sandwiches. Bread for me is all about the taste of the bread itself, and for dipping into good oil, balsamic vinegar and olive tapenade or goat’s cheese.
Pre-made wraps from the supermarket tend to be overpriced and soggy so I (or more accurately my wife) have started making my own. Not only are they nicer, but they keep fresh for ages, while a loaf of bread goes dry within a couple of days and inevitably ends up mouldy and in the bin.
My current favourite is chicken and sweet chilli sauce with lettuce.
